In 1999, a group of artists squatted this former film school building. Fast forward 16 years and this place has been transformed into a hub for the sub-culture in Amsterdam, with studios for concerts, dance, theatre and performances, alternative arts gallery, cinema, a vegan kitchen, health space, sound studio for band rehearsals, independent bookstore, workshops for breakdancing, trapeze, shiatsu, painting, photography, costume design, the list goes on and on. Parties are also held within its derelict, graffiti-laden walls and the music veers towards dubstep, old-school acid house and drum'n'bass.
