The fishing pier tends to overshadow the other attractions at Dania Beach Ocean Park, but south of the pier is a small stretch of sand that is generally less crowded than its neighborhood Hollywood. Another plus: it is a short walk from the parking lot to the beach. Swimming under the pier is not allowed.
