Bahama Village is a 16-block area that began as a Bahamian neighborhood where chickens roamed freely. The chickens still roam and junkanoo beats can still be heard, but today you'll find the touristy outdoor Bahama Village Market with straw items, seashells and souvenirs and notable restaurants like Blue Heaven and Santiago's Bodega.
