A gorgeous, neo-Renaissance building next to Topographies des Terrors, the Martin-Gropius-Bau is home to rotating exhibits that tend to showcase the cutting edge of modern art, as well as unusual historical subjects (show subjects have included David Bowie and Rainer Werner Fassbinder). If an artist is presenting an installation or performance within its grandiose central hall, it is not to be missed.
