The 630-acre Matheson Hammock & Marina is a prime kiteboarding destination with hiking trails, boating school and a man-made atoll for swimming in Biscayne Bay. Kayaks and standup paddleboards can be rented. Evenings bring romantic dining at the Red Fish Grill inside the original pavilion, which dates from the early 1930s. Next door to Fairchild Garden, the hammock is open sunrise to sunset. Per car fee is $5 weekdays and $7 weekends. Bikes enter free.
