Once a Prohibition-era speakeasy, the Hotel Vertigo was also the location for parts of the Hitchcock film of the same name. These days it's a charming and artsy venue decorated with cinematic memorabilia. It's just on the edge of the Nob Hill neighborhood, so is close to Union Square.
