A café owned by ex-Barn baristas, Companion is elevated on a mezzanine off to the side of a boutique clothing store. It has a cool, calm, and collected atmosphere stripped of pretentious theatrics (i.e., the coffee is made and brought to you) and the palate itself is potent and will have even the amateur talking about "tones" and "notes." The baristas are drole and attentive, and all the drinks are an even 2.50.
